Ready Steady Cook moves to BBC Studios

August 2008: Ready Steady Cook is moving to BBC Studios at Television Centre for the first time. The 20th series will be recorded in Studio Two, one of BBC Studios' smaller studios, which is home to CBBC's Smart, Blue Peter and Crime Watch.

Endemol UK Productions chose BBC Studios, part of BBC Resources Ltd, as the new facility provider for Ready Steady Cook, after BBC Two re-commissioned the programme and the show's long-standing home at Capital Studios in Wandsworth was closed.

The 40 x 45-minute series scheduled for this autumn will be presented by Ainsley Harriott, with Annette Clarke as executive producer and Jeremy Cross as series producer. Lindsay Bradbury is the executive producer for the BBC.

Executive producer Annette Clarke says: "We're delighted to be making the 20th series at BBC Television Centre and are looking forward to serving another helping of entertaining programming and cooking up some great recipes".

The series will benefit from a new vision matrix and upgraded cameras, as BBC Studios is upgrading and replacing equipment in Studio Two, to support its busy autumn schedule.
