July 2008: BBC Post Production is editing filmNOVA’s coverage of the Great Capital Run for Five. The event takes place in London’s Hyde Park on Sunday 20 July, when over 11,000 runners are anticipated to take part.

A highlights programme will go out on Five on Tuesday 22 July and the following week on international sports channels around the world. The programme is being edited, and graded by BBC Post Production on Avid.

This is the fourth project BBC Post Production has carried out for filmNOVA. The Great South Run in October 2007 and the BUPA 10000 (10km) in May 2008 were also post produced by BBC Post Production, plus a recent documentary for RTÉ on Irish World Athletics Gold Medallist Sonia O’Sullivan, which was edited by Lee Eynon. It gained top viewing figures in Ireland, achieving 26% of the audience share, when it transmitted in June. BBC Post Production is also working with filmNOVA on coverage of the Adidas Women’s 5km on 7 September.
